Freedom formulas can be applied by both individuals and
organizations. Back in 1972, I got the idea: It must be possible
to sell freedom at a profit. That was my first major freedom
formula. Since then I've done a great deal of experimenting
with a range of freedom formulas, as well as formulas for
improving my life generally. The benefits have been profound,
including superhealth.
I've also had some success in conveying some of my freedom
formulas to others and many people are applying these freedom
formulas in their personal lives and using them to expand their
freedom and add value to their lives.
Recently, one of the readers of BuildFreedom.com
and a subscriber to the Free World
Order List (FWO) wrote to me:
"Dear Frederick,
Since my early teenage years, I've wanted to write a book that
would deal with every aspect of making one's life as perfect as
they could wish it to be. I wanted it to be a book that was based
on current reality, that was solid, and proactive; not pie-in-the-sky
fairy tails of 'The harder you wish, the more a Miracle should happen
(provided the Stars, Gods, and Your Subconscious are aligned)'.
Moments and years and time have gone by, and I was no closer
to my task, feeling trapped by lack of time, energy, motivation,
belief that I had what it took, etc... One day, while searching for
some real, honest, practical ideas on how to shake myself out
of a passive rut, I chanced upon your website Build Freedom.com.
I loved the sound of it. I was intrigued, I read, I absorbed.
Suddenly, my eyes widened with delight and I burst out laughing!
You had written my book!
Thanks Frederick, for having created such a high quality and
voluminous work. It's been a very useful set of tools for me, and
I recommended [it to others] whenever the opportunity arises.
- Zeph Roy"
He also posted the following to the Free World Order List (FWO)
:
Please note that this is a reflection of where *I* am, relative to my
experiences with FWO.
What I've gained:
- I no longer think of myself as one of "the masses", but as a
strong, valuable, creative, unique individual who has something to
bring to the party. (The freer I get, the more my confidence levels
seem to go up.)
- I no longer accept that anyone can simply tell me how to act,
think and live.
- I've learned in which situations I can stand up for myself, and in
which I can't. Example: I can stand up for myself in dealing with the
average Joe or Jane. I cannot *yet* stand up for myself against
bureaucracy, I haven't figured out how to deal with legal issues, and
though I know at a gut level that there is something wrong, I don't
have the skills to defend myself. I am taking action on this, insofar
as I'm attempting to educate myself to the best of my abilities.
- I consider myself to be a level 1, 2 and 3 [see 'Respecting Levels
of Freedom'], depending
on the situation. I'm better at applying the philosophy and techniques
at a personal and interpersonal level.
- My relationships have become cleaner, more honest, more
productive, more joyful and more valuable.
Personally, I believe that this is the broadest, most succinct mission
statement you can have. Everything follows this, they are the details
in the main theme of this freedom painting.
Build or create freedom, rather than fight tyranny or fight for freedom.
Free yourself, rather than try to change the system.
I've taken this to heart, and it has influenced, and reinforced almost
all parts of my life. I've become very practical, and proactive in just
about every part of my life.
Practical changes since I've joined the FWO List:
- I'm now "Self-Employed". Meaning that I now work with a small
group of people who are contractors, we work for ourselves, but in
co-operation.
- I've rescinded my taxpayer status (see Detax-Canada).
- I've gotten out of a 7 year relationship that was crushing my soul.
- I've started working out, eating better, and joined a few clubs. (I
rock climb, and take kick boxing.)
Added extras:
The book The Path
of Least Resistance
by Robert Fritz has helped me tremendously in making the information
on FWO applicable.
What gets in my way:
- The FWO List is very American and legally oriented, probably about
90%, this is good, especially for those who live in the US. I very often
will read posts, if only to "absorb the attitude". I sure would find
it nice to have other topics come up more often, such as health, and
sexuality, and personal development, etc... I recognize, however that
the list reflects the interest of the participants.
- I sometimes withhold from posting a question or comment on the
list, because I question whether it will hold value for anyone other
than myself. Perhaps I need to be more selfish? Perhaps it's just
good citizenry? I don't know.
Frederick Mann's Comments
Notice that Zeph Roy has been applying freedom formulas to expand
his freedom and add value to his life. It is a continuing process.

Organizational Examples
Here are the Alexa rankings as of
11/16/99 (the lower the number, the higher the traffic) of
some organizations that could be regarded as freedom
institutions:
These and similar organizations (explicitly or implicitly) use
formulas to attract visitors to their websites.
BuildFreedom.com applies several formulas to attract visitors.
We always aim to improve current formulas and are constantly
looking for new and better formulas. Part of the overall formula
is to provide all our information free of charge. Another part is
to "send" some of our visitors to Freedom Business
Opportunities, where
they get the opportunity to participate in money-making activities
that also help us make money. Thus BigBooster.com pays for
BuildFreedom.com.
Have a look at the access
statistics for BigBooster.com
. Since late October,
1999, we've been focusing on increasing the number of visitors.
We don't care whether they're freedom oriented or not, because
some of them help us make money. Some of them also visit
BuildFreedom.com and may become more freedom oriented
as a result.
To increase the number of overall accesses per week from
around 10,000 to 30,000 - 50,000 cost us a few hundred
dollars. People are "persuaded" to come to our site to play
free lotto. This is a formula. It's also an example of the
leverage possible on the Net. We need fewer than one out
of every thousand visitors to participate in just one of our
business opportunities in order for the marketing to pay for
itself.
I estimate that on average we earn about $50 per month for
each participant in our business opportunities. So if we spend
$100 to get 2,000 new visitors to BigBooster.com and just
one of them participates in our business opportunities, we
get to earn, on average, $50 extra per month.
In the near future, we'll be implementing a system that
lists the top 100 freedom websites, based on visitors'
votes. Voters will be able to get monetary rewards for
voting. If this formula works, it will bring more visitors
to BuildFreedom.com. (The reward system will work in
such a way that in the long run, we'll make money by
awarding prizes to voters!)
We're also developing MegaBooster.com (which will
include Mega Freedom List Builder), the overall effect
of which will be to boost visitors to both BigBooster.com
and BuildFreedom.com, and to increase our average
earnings per business-opportunity participant.
Main Themes of Free World Order / BuildFreedom
The following all involve freedom formulas:
Overall: Build or create freedom, rather than fight
tyranny or fight for freedom. Free
yourself, rather
than try to change the system.
(Although the focus of BuildFreedom/Free World Order is not
directed at changing political systems, freedom engineering
ideas can most definitely be applied to political activism. This
is further discussed under "Changing Political Systems," under
Key Freedom Factors.)

materials is that both the "taxtortionists" and
the "taxfreedomists" operate on formulas. Some
formulas have a winning record, others a losing
one. Those with the superior formulas win.)

Freedom level 3: Discovering that all "coercive
